The UFO Kite has become a brand in and of itself. This kite has garnered a loyal following and fan base due to the specific high performance it provides its riders.
One of the only kites in the world of its kind, the UFO product line is synonymous with minimalist, unlimited, foiling performance. One of the lightest kites ever produced, the UFO continues to push the limits of kiteboarding kites.

The Brief
The UFO brief was simple; create the best in class kite for performance hydro-foiling. Slingshot needed a name and brand identity for this new product line. The naming convention and identity needed to help sell the kites performance to its target consumer.
The Solution
We instantly honed in on the “UFO" name. The names is short, concise, globally recognized, and we can change the acronym to mean: Unlimited Foiling Object. This gave the product line instant recognition in the foiling community and provided a versatile branding opportunity.
The Role
We named the product, created the brand identity for all of the products in this lineage. We also done everything from the naming to the custom typography, to the product’s design, to the bag design, to the marketing campaigns, and the creative direction.
The UFO has become one of Slingshot’s most recognized product lines. It currently sits as their highest sold kite model. It has a loyal fan base all over the world, a flawless reputation, and no signs of slowing down. We look forward to continuing our work on this iconic model.
