Slingshot Sustainability
The Brief
Slingshot has a long and colored history of logo usage. As the brand added products and technologies they added logos. Sustainability is a large brand initiative and the company wanted an icon to tie to the company wide movement.
The Focus
The fundamental focus of the sustainability icon was to create a timeless icon that portrays an eco-conscious feel that looked inherently Slingshot. Since we knew this initiative was going to last for the foreseeable future, we tied it to the Slingshot logo itself.
The Role
Our primary deliverable was the identity system and design guidelines that met the brief. However, we helped define the focus of the project and then led the project to completion through the final creation and implementation of this new mark.
Slingshot has a long and storied history, which means the stakeholders are only outnumbered by the products and logo applications. Through this process however, we have created an iconic mark that increases the the sustainability brand tenant. It ties the brands history to the future of our planet and the consumer’s desire.
