Slingshot Rebrand
The Brief
Slingshot has a long and colored history of logo usage. As the brand added categories they added logos, eventually arriving at two icons. These two icons were stylistically different leading to a very disjointed brand. The goal was to modernize and unify the brand.
The Focus
The fundamental focus of the new brand identity system is to build brand equity and increase the brand visibility across sports categories. With a new Wordmark and new icon built from the same design system. The two work in perfect harmony.
The Role
We worked alongside the team at Slingshot as well as another external agency to help establish the objectives of the brief and help carry the project to completion. We led the final creation and implementation of the new Icon logo.
The Slingshot rebrand was one of the longest and most detail oriented projects we have ever worked on. Slingshot has a long and storied history, which means the stakeholders are only outnumbered by the products and logo applications. Through this process however, we have created an iconic mark that increases the brand visibility, modernizes both their product and marketing efforts, and serves as a reset for the ad hoc logo and identity approach of the past.
